Fictionlab is about collecting theories, facts and narratives on media labs. Our aim is to gather and analyze a broad range of knowledge related to the wide variety of these labs.*

OS Kantine is a medialab operated by Fictionlab, a place where we use and test the collected methods and build new projects – see more at projects. At OS Kantine we focus on open systems, open knowledge and try to build sustainable, community based models and support other groups to do so.

* Working in labs we experience various strategies, structures, different ways of creating projects and collaborations. Extensive compilations of texts, interviews, blogs and publications exist on the operation and the production of media labs. We thought it would be helpful to study the methods of creation and find new ways of applying them.

Attila Nemes the founder of Fictionlab is an independent cultural mediator based in Budapest. He is one of the funding members of the Kitchen Budapest Medialab and currently works as a Program Advisor for the organization. – see more at people.
